Just saw this on the front door of a kid’s clothing store in Rye, NY.
The number of online “friends” your business has may be a good indication of its health. The storefronts next to Sasha’s were empty. Must have been using Yahoo 360.

Atleast with Facebook, it’s nice and easy to remember how to friend someone. In the sign above – the lady has her name in big bold letters – and it totally stands out.
Anyone who uses Facebook, will know that the contact name is all you need to add someone.
So ease of adding someone (facebook’s job) and prominent display of “call to action” – a/k/a the sign (members job) – are key to offline friend adding, promo, marketing, etc.
Very cool of you to take a snapshot of that sign for us. Always nice to see real world examples of people using Facebook for business.
A local Muffler Shop near me advertised their Facebook presence on their large road sign.

Thanks for stopping by Alex. Nice to have you.
This is funny. I have never seen such an direct attempt to get people to friend you! But this really shows how businesses everywhere are taking advantage of all the resoures Facebook has to offer. Its not only for college students anymore!
