When I started this blog my good friend, Matthew Yeomans of Custom Communication, UK social media consultants, told me that 99% of bloggers never make it past 90 days of blogging. Today is Local SEO Guide’s 90-day-mark and while it’s tempting to chuck it in (I am writing this at the breakfast table which really sends the right message to the kids) I think I’ll give it a shot for another 90 days. There’s still a ton of local search engine optimization subjects to talk about and I haven’t even scratched the surface.
Probably the hottest story in local search over the last few years has been the rise of community as a key feature. In keeping with that notion I’d like to use my final post of 2007 to acknowledge the community that has started to evolve from this blog. Over the last 90 days this blog has generated almost 1,000 comments (of course the majority were SPAM). So I thought I would thank all of you commenters with a nice juicy link.

This IS one of the better blogs out there Andrew.
Happy New Year everyone
Keep up the great work, and happy new year!
keep up the good work and hopefully you keep blogging beyond the next 90 days
Thanks for all your great post and have a great new year.
Glad to hear you are going to give it another 90 days.
Thank you for the link, that’s a great idea. I hope your next 90 days are ten times more successful. Happy New Year!
Thank you for the unexpected link. Continue the good work on your blog I enjoy reading it.
Happy New Year — glad you are keeping it up with your weblog. 🙂
– ask
Hi Andrew,
Excuse me if I am in the wrong here for asking this question as I am a complete novice in these things despite me having recently taken on a community website http://www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/ls29 (feel free to have a look and it and let me know what you think, that goes for all your site visitors as well)
My question is What is a Blog? What does it do?
and Should I have one on my site?
From what I can gather it is just a page on a site? for all to leave comments and have converstaions on is this right?
Eagerly await your reply and views etc etc
Happy New Year to one and all
Lets hope it is a good one x
Congratulations!
Good luck with the next 90 days! 🙂
Thank you and Happy New Year Andrew! Looking forward to your posts this year!
Congrats on passing the 90 day mark. I know that, when it comes to my content, I’ve drifted farther and farther away from online marketing, so I hope that you maintain a bit more focus that I have… Happy New Year…
Andrew, I sincerely hope it will be more than another 90 days!!
Love the blog, Happy New Year!
I would like read a little more specifics to help out local businesses with SEO. That would be cool.
You can’t quit now. 90 days is just a warm up. Give it a year at least. I’ve seen blogs that have been online for over three years without a single comment. If they can hang in there, you can!
Thanks for all of the great feedback. Max I will do my best to help you out. Drop me an email with anything specific you’d like to cover.
I think it’s pretty impressive that you’ve been doing so much in so little time. On a related note, I’d like to point out that you’re in my favourite local seo bloggers. My only quibble is that despite my commenting (see https://www.localseoguide.com/yellowbot-seo-analysis-part-one/#comments for instance) you left me off this list, lol :P. (Not to mention that my cityseo.blogspot.com ranks top 30 for local seo… )
Lookin forward to the next 90!
Only just saw the link.
Thanks very much :]
Hope 2008 brings more success :d
Thanks for the mention, very nice of you. I’m surprised you’ve only been going for a few months. Seems like I’ve been reading your posts ever since we beta launched Bizwiki. Keep up the good work!
Great blog.
Thanks for the “unexpected” mention of me, my company and the link.
Keep up the great work.
Cool man, thanks so much for the link.
