TripAdvisor.com is one of the top travel sites in the world. Getting your business listed on TripAdvisor is a great way to make sure the millions of people using the site can find you. Claiming your business on TripAdvisor also means you get exposure on TA’s network of niche travel sites including Jetsetter, TheFork, Viator, Cruise Critic, Smarter Travel and Family Vacation Critic.

There are currently two ways to add a business to TripAdvisor:

  1. Go to the Claim Your Listing page on TripAdvisor and search for your business. If it does not appear in search you can add the business on the List Your Business page.
  2. Add your business to Yext*. Yext syndicates business listings to TripAdvisor and other directories around the world. It’s a quick way to manage all of your business listings in one place.

TripAdvisor only accepts restaurants, hotels, attractions and vacation rentals. Currently Yext only can update restaurant info on TripAdvisor. It’s a great way to get a new restaurant on TripAdvisor, Yelp and the other sites it sends data to.

Yext also monitors TripAdvisor reviews and allows businesses to manage review requests via the Yext Dashboard. The benefit is a business can manage all of their info and reviews from a single dashboard v. having to log into TripAdvisor and other dashboards.

*Full Disclosure: I get paid every time someone buys a Powerlisting via that link. It’s not much, but it helps keep the lights on at the blog – and I do think it’s a great service. Ok, end of shill…
