Thx a lot for the mention Andrew and just for clarification Video SEO Shop has been in business testing and refining what it takes to succeed in Video SEO and Online Video Marketing for just about 2 years now. Looking for Local Internet Marketers to partner with to serve their local clients. Thx again and best wishes for 2010.
Howdy once again, Tim…and my word of your enterprise does get around!
Email me and we can chat….ya just never know if we might do some biz together, eh?
😉
Jim
Appreciate that thx Anna, pls contact me anytime. Tim
awesome can you tell me a little more in detail about this?
Hi Waqas and pls visit my site at http://www.videoseoshop.com to read up a little more on the service and of course pls call me anytime 1-888-241-6881. thx
Either video is completely useless as an SEM tool, or I am missing something. I just went (2/21/10) to videoseoshop.com and looked at their videos for three Toronto-area businesses.
If I Google for “Home repair Toronto”, every home repair franchise in Eastern Canada EXCEPT videosemshop’s client Handyman Matters is listed. They are nowhere on page. 1
Ditto for Furnaces, Toronto–No “Laird Brothers” (video client) anywhere, but tons of other HVAC companies.
Ditto for Garage Doors, Toronto–no “Dodds Doors” (video client), except as a listing inside another local directory.
Each of these three companies has a video by videoseoshop–and not one of them is even listed on page 1, while all their competitors are.
Hi Spamalot and thx for your comment. You are correct that the client videos you mentioned are not ranking for the terms you stated. To be honest we have been getting ready to re-launch Video SEO Shop as Online Video Marketers and have not been focused as much on the online promotion of these particular videos as we should have. We will be revisiting these videos in the next week or two and will get them ranking well via a harder-core SEO method we will be utilizing from here on. (New site is going to be OnlineVideoMarketers.tv fyi.)
That said you will indeed see the Handyman Matters video ranking on Page One of Google for the desired keyword- term ‘handyman repairs toronto’. And Dodds Garage Doors on Page Two for the desired term ‘garage door repair toronto’. Laird Heating & Air Conditioning we are going to revisit entirely using our new processes.
If you visit VideoSEOShop.com you will see several examples of client videos ranking on Page One of Google for their desired keyword terms — check out Century Tile under ’tile stores chicago’ and see how many indexed pages it is competing against . . . we have clients who’ve been ranking on Page One for their primary keyword terms for well over a year, so Video SEO does work . . . but clearly it is going to take more work than it may have during the honeymoon phase, and that’s precisely what we are working on.
PS this comment area says Spammy Profile Names Will Be Deleted so how on earth did someone called ‘spamalot’ get through? Thx Tim T
Good spammy profile names are always appreciated
Fair enough Andrew! You and I aren’t afraid to use our real names!
😉 I too figure that if you DO NOT use your own name — then sumthin’s wrong, eh?
😉
Jim
Sometimes it’s fun to have a nom d’comment
Q. “How did such a spammy name NOT get deleted”.
Well, that’s why MY spam always gets through, AND gets opened!
Seriously, I didn’t mean to dissparage your company, videoseoshop. I’m just another local directory publisher who gets a lot of sales pitches from video people who swear–along with many experts–that video is THE answer to SEO. Since Andrew recommended you so highly, I wanted to see what you do, and especially how “effective” it is, before I take the plunge. Thanks for explaining the specific circs for the first three companies I looked at. (I have advertisers in the exact same headings, including a local Handyman Matters franchise–hence the interest.)
I now retire this profile name.

Hi again Spamalot and I was also one of those giddy guys for a while thinking I had an easy ride making simple videos and posting them on Metacafe etc and then getting easy Page One organic links. It still works here and there, but now we’re into real SEO and Social Media optimization work to get the job done. So I do understand and appreciate your comment about video guys telling you how easy it is (was) to get blended search links. And this is the reason why we are re-positioning our business as Online Vide o Marketers as I mentioned in a previous comment . . . we are looking to become the premier provider of outsourced services for long-term online video marketing strategies, content production and then online distribution and promotion. For video content both off-site (posted) and on-site on optimized landing pages (hosted.) We will provide this outsourced service to Ad Agencies, Directories, Online Marketing Agencies and any communications company with clients who understand the importance of engaging video content and visibility on Google first and foremost. Site for the new biz up in a day or two . . . happy to chat with you directly anytime and good on you to retire the Spamalot handle, although you clearly know your stuff if you can get it by Herr Shotland! thx Tim T 905 604-1753
I will look into using his service. Video is great web tool.
