I have been getting hit up a lot by people who want to write guest posts on LSG either because they want to get their brand in front of my readers or they want a link.  I am not opposed to the concept but have never put one up so it would need to be an extraordinary post for me to do so.  That said if you write something interesting on your blog and let me know about it, I might link to it from here.  So unless you know me well, please stop asking for guest posts and just send me a “check my post out” email.  Commence spamming inbox now.

    @Andrew…least I can spell your name corectly….LOL!

    how about this then – a pointedly Canuck view on just about anything, eh?

    I’m with you totally Andrew. Why risk having a work of art sullied by those who may not cherish it so dear?

    By the way Jim, you spelt Andrew correctly but you didn’t spell correctly correctly. You spelt correctly corectly – which is incorect.

    🙂

    Curiouser and curiouser …

    and…you noticed too!

    a big part of making comments is (least for me) the fun of being incorrect when you correct….so nice catch Ewan!

    LOL!

    🙂

    Guest posting has become the “in” thing in many places. There is a risk for the blog owner as he has to extend his trust at times to an unknown entity.

    You can however, find many gems of writers if you sift through all the “spam”.

    I’m not going to offer you a guest post or correct your spelling but I am going to try to steal the caveat on your comment box.

    Does it work?

    Some days I waste ages moderating the spam and generic comments. I don’t mind if they put something even vaguely related to the title of the actual post but 99% don’t even bother to make any effort whatsoever 🙁 And some of them make repeat attempts several days later… so I guess they must be automated.

    I’m suddenly getting an influx of these too… motivating me to write a similar policy for my own blog. Just added.
