I’d like to add another good local business story while in San Jose for the Local Search Summit. I was checking out of the Wyndham on Thursday when the desk employee asked if I had gotten the keys I left in the cab the previous day and I said this was the first I heard of it. He said the ABC Cab Co called the hotel to say they had found my car keys in the cab. (I shudder when I think of my dismay upon I arriving at my car in the airport parking lot at 10 pm to realize I didn’t have my car keys…grrr). He called the cab co and the owner of ABC Cab Co personally brought the keys to me at the hotel. Thank you, thank you, ABC Cab Co!!
Correction: It was American Cab. Just checked my receipts…sorry guys, but you were great! BTW…thought the LSS conference was exceptionally good. Nirvana with Goog, Bing, Yahoo, FaceBook, and of course, Steve and Andrew, all on the same stage sharing their thoughts! All of the panels were very good. Hope you do it next year.
These guys were TOTALLY helpful. It was only 10 minutes out of their day, but it WAS quittin’ time and would have been easy to blow us off.
We may have even had ANOTHER flat on 680 if one of them had not encouraged us to check the PSI of the spare and inflate to the recommended limit.
I highly recommend the service at Dynamic Audio.

Love that story, Andrew, even though I’m getting to it kinda late (as in catching up on 2 months worth of backlog reading)… I want to send a big thankyou out to the friendly folks at radioloungeusa.com — they really helped me out on the phone the other day, even though it was obvious my planned radio campaign was way too small for their services! The guy on the phone (I think it was Bruce) helped me for ten minutes, and gave me some great advice! They rock.
I like the idea of giving shoutouts to people who have simply been decent.
